Geography

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments.

The aim of Geography from Kindergarten to Year 6  is to stimulate students’ interest in and engagement with the world. Through geographical inquiry they develop an understanding of the interactions between people, places and environments across a range of scales. This enables students to become active, responsible and informed citizens able to evaluate the opinions of others and express their own ideas and arguments.

Geographical inquiry involves students acquiring, processing and communicating geographical information. The skills and capabilities developed through geographical study can be applied to further education, work and everyday life.
